Great for hot weather/ humidity I have been using the Standard Sugaring formula for awhile, but during hot or humid weather it gets too gooey and difficult to remove, so I decided to try out the Solid Sugaring this time. The color is much darker than Standard sugaring. It almost looks burnt, but the formula does work (it's not actually burnt). I warm the jar in a hot water bath before use. This formula is more challenging to spread than the standard sugaring, but once you work with it awhile it becomes easier to use. This formula is best for underarms and bikini area. If you get sweaty, just wipe the area with a towel and continue working. The solid formula won't get gooey when you sweat, unlike the standard formula. This even works if you are sugaring in a humid bathroom. After using on those areas you can use the same ball of sugar for legs once it becomes pliable. For finer hair such as arms or face, you're better off with the standard formula since this one won't grab them. After working with the sugar, it lightens in color from a burnt sugar color to a caramel color. To summarize, Pros: works in heat and humidity, effective for grabbing coarse hairs. Cons: difficult to spread initially, doesn't grab fine hairs. 5It is a bit tricky to work with but with a lot of practice it becomes easy. You gotta move quick before it gets to ... Works great. 5Instructions weren't meant for this size, caused burns I am currently typing this with one hand, as I just got back from the ER due to a burn caused by this product. I was going to attempt to wax my legs with it, microwaved for the 30 seconds like the instructions on the label said, and when I took it out it was bubbling. I tried to stir it with the spatula but it was so hot that it splattered all over my hand. I don't have a very powerful microwave either, so clearly the instructions printed on the 8 oz container were meant for a larger container. I am very disappointed, as I was really hoping sugaring would save me money, but I am too afraid to try again. To anyone considering this product: do not microwave for 30 seconds, the instructions on the container are incorrect! To the company: please revise your label so nobody else gets hurt by simply following the directions. 1I would not recommend this product I don't see how this product has so many 5 star reviews. It ripped a small layer of my skin off. It definitely doesn't give a close wax. Even after going over the same area 3 times, I still had to go through and pluck multiple hairs around my bikini. I would not recommend this product. 2One Star did not remove any hair for me at all.. had to throw it out 1Make sure to use baby powder I've never been into going to salons and getting my hollywood wax done. I just bought wax from sally's and from online (Cocojojo) and decided to do it myself. This wax takes a little getting usted to. It's different than Cocojojo's soft wax in that it needs more pressure to use. I also noticed that it can stick to the skin if you forget to dust some baby powder over you skin first. I've never been waxed because it's just too expensive but I was soooooo sick of shaving i decided to try doing it myself (seriously, how hard could it be?) I did some research online (TY, YouTube!), didn't shave or exfoliate for a month, & decided that sugaring was a better option for me than waxing. OH. MY. GOODNESS.... I could not be happier!!! I waxed my right leg while watching TV tonight- & I can say this, I'LL NEVER SHAVE MY LEGS AGAIN- Never!! This product has truly changed my life- THANK YOU COCOJOJO!!!!!***NOTE: I accidentally bought the thickest, hardest paste, Bikini Solid (not reading the description properly) but it still worked on my legs- I just had to apply it while it was still a little warmer than I wanted*** 5
